Re: Here we go again...
I've got my own bug report for ModZap here:
a) The version of the program
00.90b3
b) applicable settings in the Options dialog
Clock = Pal Tempo = ProTracker
Stereo = Full Stereo Only Use DOCRAM Caching and Ignore
Player = Classic MOD./.MOD are checked,
Start Path = Custom the other 3 options are unchecked
c) the MOD file in question, and where to obtain it
Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge II boot up music, file name varies but
LotusII.mod should be the common one.
Can be obtained from nic.funet.fi from the
pub/amiga/music/modules/unsorted directory
under the filename LotusII.lha (or Lotus.lha)
d) The location if applicable of the defect, from the readouts in the player.
The mod occupies a total of 22 blocks of 64 cells each.
Location of defect starts when it reaches the 12th block which is
block 9. From cell 00 onwards, the defect starts. Screen looks like:
22
12 Track 1 Track 2 Track 3 Track 4
09 Data Data Data Data
00
when the defect starts.
e) The exact nature of the defect.
Defect is that track 3 misses out _one_ entire instrument! All that
I hear are drums and percussions from tracks 1, 2 and 4. Turning off
tracks 1, 2 and 4 results in hearing short pops from track 3.
The VU-meter however does jump. Playing under soniqTracker 0.63 or
ShellPlay 0.7 is perfect; as is playing from my Amiga 500. The
correct track 3 is supposed to play a cresendo siren going up the
scale. The siren is so obvious that LTChean can even hear the
difference thru the phone.
OK, I hope the above helps to clear some bugs under ModZap and I sure hope
I won't get flamed for this one. :)
