When I first set up my BBS, ProLine was selling for something like
$250 to $270--a ripoff for a BBS that didn't even offer YMODEM, let
alone ZMODEM. Even at $100 less than whatever it was, it's still
hardly one of the better deals in BBS software.
If I started all over again with an Apple II-based BBS, I might
consider ProLine if it was priced at $50 or less. Even then, I'd have
a hard time justifying the expense when compared to some of the free
systems that have popped up in recent months.
