Upgrading to 8 MHz, most of the time, can be done simply by replacing
the 28 MHz oscillator with a 32 MHz one. For 9, you'll probably need a new CPU
and another oscillator, which would run at 36 MHz. Above 10 MHz, you will
probably need a new set of GALs, which I'm told are available for $20 each from
AE, a new oscillator, and a new CPU. You may also need to bump up the power
supply.
TO ANYONE WHO KNOWS:
I remember reading about the Sanyo 14 MHz '816. Can I buy this from
WDC, or do I need to get it from Sanyo? Who do I call? Thanks for any
information!
