If you have the lastest TWGS ROMs (1.8), you can to up to ca. 12-12.5 MHz by
replacing the CPU on your TWGS with a 14-MHz-65816 from the Western Design Center.

Of course, you also have to replace the oscillator with a faster one.
You need a 4*x MHz oscillator to archive a TWGS speed of x MHz. e.g., I use a
50MHz oscillator which results in a TWGS running at 12.5 MHz.

I haven't had any problems, yet. In fact, despite the faster speed I have the
impression that my TWGS becomes less hot, because the new CPU eats less power.
(I haven't measured that.)

That's it for now.
