Nahh.... the multitudes of IIgs programmers don't scare me... :-P

One thing you will learn in programming is to treat functions/
procedures/modules as building blocks. If someone has already built a
building block you need, you don't want to waste the time rewriting it
unless you have to. This is one of the core concepts of modular
programming - you don't want to have to keep re-inventing the wheel
every time you develop something new. Best to build on existing
routines if they exist. This is where code snippets can come in handy.
Need to read a file in GS/OS but don't know how? See if someone else
knows. If they do great, use their code and build on it. If nobody
else knows, prepare to follow these steps:
1) do some reading
2) get some understanding
3) do some code writing
4) do some code testing
5) do some hair pulling
6) goto step 1

Hey, thats why I do it - for fun and the feeling of accomplishing
something new! With 'Colouring for the IIgs' I also had the added
benefit of making both my daughters happy in the bargain. :-)

Cheers,
