	I've tried setting my system to 50/60 Hz, and even ran a program simular
to what you've described written by Richard Wifall. Nothing happened and those
two CDAs just won't disappear. Jim Ferr of Apple Canada explained to me a few 
ROM 3 cpus had a manufacturing defect where the those two ROM CDAs cannot be
disabled, being locked into the Classic Desk Accessory menu permanently...
If this is true, I *hope* the only side effects are a loss of 512 bytes of RAM,
and the annoyance of not being able to clear the CDA menu.

	I haven't given up all hope, so could you post those little programs to
comp.binaries.apple2?
