I have just uploaded "Fairy IC Test Card.zip" to Asimov. The Zip contains a disk image and a PDF of the (useless) manual. Note that I have annotated the manual to clarify the location of pin-1 on the card and the test socket. It is not marked on the test socket and not mentioned in the manual.

When you find part I of the manual it may make more sense. I remember seeing a pic of a test socket diagram somewhere that shows where Pin-1 goes for each of the different chip configurations. If I see it again, I'll let you know.

Ok, here it is. Click on ZOOM, and scroll down, the test socket shows under the card. It shows 14, 16, 18, and 20 pin are inserted from the bottom-up. http://www.hackzapple.com/ORG1/M2/UTILITY/TESTIC2.HTM
