The ROM is just gonna make the card skip startup, the thing is holding
the bus up.
If the ROM got popped 'cause of the backward SCSI cable you can bet
that a path of destruction was blazed between the two and there's
plenty between 'em.
I'd start poking around at the 245, 244.. stuff on the edge connector.
though it would be a whole lot easier if it were a Rev C..
I totally agree with what Tony has said, and would like to add that if
there was a break in data transfer or logic, the IIgs may still boot, but,
since there is no boot, then this most likely indicates a short, and I'd
refrain from inserting the card any longer until I determined where the
short is.
