Another good way to go is to remove the supply from an old computer
that is headed for recycling (you know, the two you have in your
garage that you will never power up again  ;-).

I know older AT supplies have switches, I haven't seen an older AT supply in about 7 or 8 years. The computers I have laying around are ATX supplies. Again, in my area there ARE NO THRIFT STORES, much less any that would even REMOTELY have the chance of a an AT power supply. For the price, and minimum amount of fuss for connection, this power supply is a decent deal.
