Re: No Doubt About It: System Savers are very effective for the GS.

Hello,

On a completely different (but hot) piece of equipment, I have used
a thin "laptop cooler" dual fan (about 5/16" thick!) on top of the
equipment to exhaust hot air from the top of the case. Even though
the fans are very slow (and quiet) and don't move much air volume,
removing the hot air from the top of the case dropped the temperature
of the electronics by 20 degrees F!

I wonder why System Saver does not give enough cool to PC Transporter card. All the parts on the PC Transporter card are okay except math coprocessor chip. The math coprocessor chip gets very hot like 120 degree temperature. The PC Transporter card can survive about 10 minutes before it locked up.

I haven't used an x87 coprocessor, but I've noticed that two
other FP coprocessor chips tend to run very warm compared to
other processors.
