Re: AppleWorks 3 + RamFactor + RamWorks 3 = what?

Mark Munz' Companion Plus for AppleWorks 3 contains these Ramcard-
related patches:

- Force IIGS to use Slinky Ram (if you want to use a Slinky on a GS)

- Limit Slinky memory for desktop use

- Limit Auxcard Banks for Desktop use (also, AE's Partition was
included on SpellCopy)

There is no mention of a Ram driver other than a written description
under the Auxcard patch section (i.e., you must run a Ram Driver first
if you want to run a Ram disk on an Auxcard, -AND- the Ram driver must
be configured to complement the number of banks you locked out for the
desktop; i.e., Prosel's Config.Ramdrv).

I vaguely remember telling people that you don't need the AE AW3
Expander unless you needed the file AEClk.System (clock driver for Z-
Ram Ultra II on my system). In fact, as I think Hugh Hood pointed out
recently, the Expander conflicted with TimeOut. Thanks to those who
tested that.

Companion Plus also added a Date and Time display. (But UltraMacros
did this too.)
