PS to my last post...

I just compared the adaptor (and its orientation) to the pics at 
GSE-Reactive (see 
<http://www.gse-reactive.com/product_info.php?products_id=164>), and the 
adaptor looks like it's the same manufacturer and model. And I've 
mounted the adaptor in the same way on the Focus card as the one in the 
pics at GSE (which shows a Focus card, too).

As mentioned in the original post, the card and formatter are definitely 
still working, as I was able to format (some of) a 20GB drive into the 
30 partitions, and they are mounting and booting as I would expect. And 
I know the adaptor and the 512MB card work, as they work in my external 
case. I'm beginning to feel stumped :(
