Adjustable two-channel lab power supply, max 10A@20V. I started with
the current-limiter set at 1A, but the supply never went into limit.
With the power switch OFF, the IIc drew 50mA (ish). With the switch
ON, it spiked briefly then dropped to ~10mA. Yes this makes no sense.

I also tried using the ground pins of the PSU connector as my ground
point, with identical results :(
According to about a zillion web references, one of the "bad" things
about the IIc+ was the internal mains power supply, which meant it was
no longer possible to run the thing directly off a 12V battery.
Implication is that hordes of people were powering their IIcs off
batteries. Yet I find no documented instance of anyone actually doing
it, unless you count "2010" :)
