Right you are!  The Programmer's Aid ROM just took the II from 4 to
5 ROMs--my error.  I do recall that the "Inspector/Watson" ROM was
nice to have in the D8 socket...


I'd also guess that cassette Applesoft used the hi-res routines
in the Programmer's Aid ROM for graphics.



Wasn't cassette Applesoft available BEFORE the ProgAid chip?


Possibly, but I thought the Programmer's Aid ROM came right out
of the Red Book, plus a few things.
