Tom, appreciate your work on this!  Oddly, the first time I ran it on my 
IIc+, via command-control-reset, I got an I/O error statement! and it 
didn't run  Next time, it worked like a charm...

Then I tried simply starting up from the external 5.25" and it worked 
fine again---nicely turning off the accelerator.  How cool!
