They should not be.  An uncompressed disk image should be 143360 bytes
exactly.  The .dsk images you get from Asimov should be just that size.

Ok, I phrased it badly. A .dsk file is larger than the AVAILABLE storage capacity of a 5.25" disk. The overhead for the directory information and volumen bitmap make it impossible to fit a .dsk file on a 5.25" disk. Not to mention that since his IIe only has 128K of RAM, he can't store it in memory (128K < 143360 bytes ).

To reply to the other posts, I've never heard of this ADT program. I've been mostly out of touch with the a2 community and the a2 boards since I went away to college and lost access to newsgroups back around 2000 or so (I forgot when I dropped off the boards).

When was it released? I've been doing this kind of thing for over 10 years now, but the programs I knew of were called dsk2file, Asimov, DeImage, and UnimagePro. I favored the menu-driven Asimov, though I found out in high school that it required an Apple IIGS so that's not the solution a IIe user.
