If they're standard, unprotected 3.5" disks, you should be able to
create a 1600 block RAMDisk and copy the images into there. You would
need a decent amount of memory in your IIGS though.

You can also do this with 5.25" images provided they're ProDOS disks,
but since the vast majority aren't it's really not worth the effort.

I use this trick from time to time, but on a IIe with a Slinky memory
card. It's a handy way to make disk bound applications (Apple Pascal,
Prince of Persia 3.5 edition) 'hard disk installable' :-)
