Yes. I bought my MPF-III on 28-Feb-1984 and Jim Sather's book was not
published until 1985.

While the MPF-III is functionally equivalent to the IIe (with a few
minor differences that I worked around by replacing one PAL with a
larger GAL [as the MPF-III came with an integrated 2K 80 column card
its support for AUX_ZP bank switching was non-existant]) but may not be
partitioned in the same way as an MMU/IOU pair. I am sure this could be
worked out.

The copy I have is an Nth generation photocopy so may not scan very
