I mean use File->Open in the CiderPress menu to open what you linked to.
The idea is to try to open the image file as if it were a valid disk image.

This uses the same set of routines as File->Open Volume, except it's using
a file open instead of a device open.  That suggests that it's actually
wedging up in the device access code.

I agree that it shouldn't hang, but you're the first person to report it
doing that.  I don't see anything in the code that would cause it, which
makes me wonder if it's actually Windows hanging because of some strange
interaction with your CF card reader driver.

If it were the latter, though, it should hang when just about anything
tries to access the card from Windows.
