Right. If there were any impending precipitous failure of 5.25" diskettes, it would be quite apparent several years in advance of the crack of doom. What we are experiencing now, as always, is random failures, often the result of mishandling, improper storage, or drive issues, not *systematic* failures of media or magnetism.
