I'm using a Color Classic with the IIe card, with both a 5.25" drive and
the (much harder to find) 3.5" Unidisk drive attached. I actually acquired
the Color Classic on eBay to serve as a bridge for transferring data on
floppies from the PC to a IIGS that I picked up on eBay, and went hunting
for the IIe card and drives later just for the geek appeal of it all.

Transferring files between the Mac and the PC via floppy is really pretty
easy to do, since the Mac can read and write 720K MS-DOS formatted floppies
thanks to PC Exchange. The more elegant way to transfer files would
obviously be via a serial cable connection, but I personally prefer
floppies since the volume of transfers I do is low. With a bit of patience
and a few floppies, I can move files back and forth between the PC, the
Color Classic, the IIGS, a IIe and a couple of Amigas without too much
trouble.
