Yeah.. I ended up buying a US motherboard years ago to get around this
issue, back when someone would rip it out of IIe for you for very
little money...
This is one of the main reasons I'm not fond of any of the proposed
methods of overcoming the issue, but I'm still keen to see it done even
if it only supports 60Hz boards. At least this isn't a huge problem for
the IIgs and II+. I thought perhaps even the IIc's and IIe's could be
'fixed' with a crystal change, but by the sounds of it, the IOU is
timing dependant in terms of enabling the AUX bank for the video
hardware reads... :-(
