Yeah, so that you think that:
1.- People that talk about this are fantasisers.
2.- We ought to shut up.
3.- mdj has to "shut up" in order to "do it".
4.- Will never "get there" unless mdj "does it".
Whoa! I'm sorry that you seem to have taken our discussion so
personally.
For the record, I *do* believe that *doing* is better than
talking about it. CSA2 history seems to bear out the notion
that an idea talked about a lot beforehand is seldom an idea
that is realized. (But maybe *all* ideas are seldom realized. ;-)
Given the scarcity of ideas (yet) seen in this thread...
....I wonder what is it that you are going "to do" that will "get you
there" while you're "shut up" !
Come on !
Share your clever ideas if you're not too afraid that they are not so
clever, but please stop asking anybody in this thread to shut up, unless
you've got a good enough argument to do so.
Easy, there. He only talked about others "shutting up" in the context
of removing the barriers to their being able to actually *do* things.
What he envisions would make what is now hardware development into
a kind of software development, lowering implementation barriers for
everyone with an idea--and all this while preserving the capabilities
of a real Apple II!
The other "shutting up" was his own, to allow him to get to work.
This is like saying, "If I expect anything to get done, I had
better get busy", and is both true and laudable. I was delighted
that he expressed that he "got" this!
It's actually pretty well known that talking seriously interferes
with clear thinking--I've certainly illustrated that frequently in
this forum! ;-)
