Do you think OCR is a good idea ?
Yes, the file will weight much less, but there will be a lot of errors.
Imagine for example:
$C030 may end being ocr'ed as $C080
If we were talking about a novel, it would not matter, but this kind of
data is much more sensitive to typing errors.
OTOH, you can't ask acrobat to search for text in scanned images...
