Well, don't panic just yet. Another option is to hook up the apple tape out port to a pc's microphone port and turn the pc into a glorified tape recorder. I'll see if I can decipher the sound of an apple tape port (but if someone wants to send me a recording of values $00 thru $ff repeated 5 times it might help a little) :-) -B
