For really active newsgroups, I still use nn on a shell account
sometimes, but most of the time, I use "Xnews" on a Windows PC.

For, ahem, less active groups like any of the Apple II groups, where a
thread is likely to start and finish over the course of at least a
week, I find Google's interface to be perfectly fine.

I also have an unlimited account over at NewsHosting.com, for which I
pay $15 a month. They have a fantastically long Apple II retention
policy.

But generally, I think Google's interface is just fine.
