I saw a hobbiest site where guys used solder paste and a toaster oven to take care of surface mount chips. Make it look really easy -- but I don't think I want to stick expensive electronic components in a 450F toaster oven. Not unless I was doing it for the sake of "science" anyway (anyone seen a show called "Brainiac"?)
