no this was a telnet door program and also had a companion door program for
dialout  to another bbs via
the bbs's modem....so these programs would work with any bbs capbable of
using doors...worldgroup could
use doorway or run doors but a sep machine and only 1user on the machine at
a time

synchronet can run on a sep machine and using a tweak from www.doormud.com
could replace the door
menu area of worldgroup system and run multinode 16 bit doors and of course
32bit doors with multiple users per
machine or door...liike 10 people on lord door another 10 on tw2002 etc so
it was the best way to run doors
underneath worldgroup..i just added it under doors with a menu stream to go
to a complete synchronet bbs under
neath the bbs menu....or another games menu...people had a choice...but the
multinode door option was why it
was done ..wg isv's were charging 350 for a 4node version of tw2002 or
lord...so for 15 bucks i could run basic
lord or tw2002 door on a sep machine with multiple users on at one time *16
or so i think it was set at*...well
if wg would have stayed a viable option longer there would have been a run
at synchro

doorway....you could use to run programs ...there were some i forget how
many....i think at the time hardware
limitations and money let us play with it for 4 screens on 1 puter..but it
hung a lot like 1x a day on a sysstem that
had 1000 users and 40 people on at a time...what was funny was the apple 2
sub bbs ancient systems from before
i got on wg 1 user at a time ..never hung....too dumb....did not see a CR or
some such just reset and went along there way

anyway...i'll eventually remember the name ......but with these 2 door
programs that allowed you to dialout and telnet..
to other systems within the bbs proper by users....the ap2 stuff i kept up
on  the side.....the synchronet sub bbs running
all my old multinode capable doors from way back when and also new 32 bit
versions...and the www.synchro.net using
and maintaining a web server...you can do what i did with my wg 3.20 bbs
system except for client server emulationn C/S
unless synchro can do WIN  or run MajorMUD ...and of course you can get a
clone door of that at www.doormud.com

it bugs me i'll see if i can find those door programs for dialing out to
local bbs's via a spare modem on main machine once in
or telenet to another machine...of course the guy who has a telnetable bbs
(boycott) at www.boycot.no-ip.com port 9999
it would be a snap to do this.....another project i have to setup at my end
in that we run same fv/metal software on a the
ap2's we have
