Hello!
I'm a life-long Commodore 64 nut, but I've recently collected a couple
of Apples (ok, one Apple IIe, and one Laser 128). I've picked up a few
programs on eBay, but what I really want is to be able to get files
directly from the internet.
I already have familiarity with modem emulation software such as
TCPSER4J which allows me to hook up my Commodore 128D to the internet
for telnet purposes. I use it to call Commodore BBSs and QLink all the
time. I don't currently have a terminal program for the Apple to do
this with my current Apple hardware, however.
What's the easiest way for me to get software from the Internet (I have
no macs) to my new Apples? My only disk drives are the standard 5.25"
drives.
Thanks in advance for all of your help!
PS. I've spent some time on the FAQ today, but it appears I have a
chicken and egg as it tends to recommend the null-modem and terminal
software approach to get more software. If anyone could send me a disk
with a Term program I'd be very grateful.
