Given that I have apple2+ with 5.25 drives (NOT 3.5") (and that I like most the II+, not the IIc or IIe, and I don't even know the IIGS), and Macs, I would like to know what do you think that is the best way (serial transfer) and format (po, img, etc) and utility (mac-side & apple2-side) to convert these images back to real 5.25 disks ?
That's easy, ADT it. Hopefully you have a serial card for your II+ and you can make a null modem cable to hook to a PC of some type. Just download ADT and the version for your other PC and flip DSK images all day long.
Note that many PCs now have emulators that allow you to do all the 'heavy lifting' on your PC. You can use emulators to decompress files and move things around and get things they way you want them before you create a real 5.25 diskette suing the ADT program.
BTW, I notice an omission from your recent post. You did not mention the Ethernet option for your Apple II... You may want to check that out too. Using Contiki and non compressed DSK images, you can create floppy disks strait form the Internet or home server. :)
