If you have a NTSC-capable display you may be better off getting a US
motherboard which may produce "good enough" NTSC for your converter to
work.
US motherboards are relatively easy and cheap to get and require only a
bit of work to adapt into an Euro-Apple case. There is even a good
solution for keeping the non-US characters on keyboard & screen by Bill
Garber.

This should work, too, but you'll get the usual squashed 50-Hz-picture.
Don't forget to re-adjust the color pots on the mainboard...
