    yes there is just one switch under the front, which changes the # (hash)
character with the UK � (pound) sign.

    I have been able to get my VGA adapter to display "PAL" instead of
"SECAM" by tweaking the varicap on the motherboard (color synch). However,
this did not change the colors: green and red seem to be nowhere while blue
and brown are present.

    I have an old CRT PAL monitor, which I used with my Amiga 500 - it has a
standard SCART input. I will solder on an RCA so I can use the Composite IN
(the SCART cable for the Amiga only uses RGB and H/Vsync) and see if that
monitor will yield the correct colors - I guess that's the best I can try
for now.
