bill g. is making a mess of them ..it is both old mousetext ROM and new
mousetext ROM from enhanced //e set ..put on a a newer eprom with the same
sized dip as the old eprom..that can hold both of these ROM's on the same
size setup on the mother board...it has a long cable off it and you can
switch between the old mousetext or new mousetext as you need with older
programs..like orig applewriter..etc on the fly..a standard crome
micro-switch from radio shack the one with the little color ends you can
slide on (mine is green)..anyway..i ran mine thru the vent on side and
attached it (along with a sound switch) on my upgraded apple //e to gs
motherboard setup ..it is switchable off the system saver on the side..nice
place to put a sound switch this switch etc

the guy who made this mousetrap ROM put the chip on a dip and put a little
plastic case around it...black so it was a solid little lego block with pins
out the bottom..you just pop it in and route the toggle switch and cable to
the outside of you computer by adding a small hole etc..viola
switch...anyway i  do that to my machines for sound to the systemsaver fan
on my gs upgrades...a person could do the same thing using say a wildcard
card on a //+, sound, 300 baud networker modem (so old it is a non-auto
answer...replaced their little plastic swtich rocker with standard toggle..)

//e ..it is also in one or two of the apple Incider magazines..or apple
