sorry i ment power supply in the back not system saver..and re-read your
post
not really a heat issue i guess from that post..oops...but whatever your
power
problems...a good start is get the power supply (whatever version) outside
the
case..i also have a nice little piece of horizontal xerox paper cut to the
lenght
shape of the // cards in my loaded setups..between all the cards.......so
they don't touch or develop
some kinda cobweb between cards, dust, etc... cause they are so close and
then short.something out ....that
helped me when i was running the beast at 14mhz loaded 24/7 with the old
lost gonzo bbs
if you really want to blow up power supplies however run an apple II with a
300
baud modem and 6 floppy drives running an dos 3.3 apple bbs program called
applenet in a hot dorm room with 200 plus calls a day from auto call
modems.the
majority of them vic-20 and c64 users...in 1983...me and a buddy called qazz
with of course NO air conditioning thru the summer.. man we use to repair or
blow up 1 power supply a month..and the little vic 20 c64 and occasional
apple //
user w/300 baud (non auto answer..switched modem...jeez) would take a
collection
and we'd wander down to the apple ii dealer..(who had a stack of them in
preperation
of our monthly trip) and gravely purchase another one...it was nice being
the only bbs
or telecom anything for that manner...what dare i say game server for
southern minnesota
at least for a while..we sure felt like compu-serve...
