Board/Chip ID

Ok, need help with a couple of expansion boards...

One says its a 'videx 44439' but its missing a chip.. no idea what chip i
need to shove in there.. its the chip right above the main chip, just left
of one of the character set EPROMS ( says standard 7x9 ). I assume its a
80Col video.. But with out the missing chip I'm afraid to try it.

The other board is intact, i just have no idea what it is.. Its full size,
and has a tag that says 'sequential systems, C1991, rev QPII-09BG '.

I can post images of both...
