Re: Request for Product
>>Ed Eastman just got done asking for orders, remember?
i thought that was you...i did send him email that i wanted two...(did you
get that Ed)...no biggie i either got in on the order or not...
what do i owe you for the mousetext beasties... send me an email
at mrbrad AT ll.net
hmm....
the only other thing we have discussed here that i think there would be a
market for would be a //gs to //e bottom case for making a //e case hold a
//gs motherboard...toss in xerox directions and //e power plug end and //e
keyboard plug end on how to solder them in on a rom 1 mother board... put
some kinda logo on front (Gonzo //e) ...and viola...maybe offer the modified
rom 1 motherboards in the kit as well instead...
no one was too interested in making a sheet metal stamp like the old ones
were made..(i assume you have to make a large milled metal stamp plate
arrangement and somehow find yourself a two ton press to pop them
out..ouch..)..
maybe just make a clear pexiglass plastic end...ie..the end user would do
the mod.....hacksaw off back panel of //e backplate...file down edges...and
using paper template drill holes here/there whatever....he template of kit
recommends...attach brackets ..whatever...then put a snap on/screw on clear
pexiglass backplate with gs ports onto the modified //e bottom plate..
prob would not get much for it..and of course add the logo for the
front..but it the //e power end and keybd end brief instructions...this
backplate and logo..might be worth $30 to some people on here...maybe a bit
more if the //gs motherboard was already tweaked...
or maybe make an entirely new type of kit....i know some company.. at one
time made a few clear //e cases...do the same...clear //e case format with
gs upgrade in mind..thats your hook..
need sheet metal stamp press and milling expertise to stamp such .//e to gs
bottom plates or someone who has expertise on plastic mnfg of cases
prob a dumb idea just rambling here...unless you find some h.s. kid who
needs some kinda milling or plastic molding project...not sure it would be
worth the effort...
even if it was just the //e to //gs port backplate idea mod to the existing
//e bottom plate...the simpler above plan.....still kinda a pain...
just rambling here..thats all i got so far..
