I'd pay (more) money for that.

I'd also be willing to donate time and effort to programming such a
beast, modest though my programming skills are.

I can easily invision an SVD that can load several images at a time
and has some sort of thumbwheel or pushbutton control to cycle through
the images. Add something like a IIgs type control panel to load the
images and I'm in hog heaven. (Or, a stand-alone program for
II;II+;//e)
