Well, the endurance test would be pretty difficult for an Apple //. If
I remember rightly, the GS can access the internet without too much
difficulty, but anything earlier would need a UNIX/LINUX box to hook up
to. It's pretty rare to get an account like that from an ISP anymore.
You could possibly set up a PC to do the same thing, but then according
to the rules, that would have to be pre-1993. Do I understand
correctly?
