It is very possible to connect tape cassette to PC's audio-in port such
as Sound Blaster card so Applewin or other emulators can read/write tape
cassette directly to the Sound Blaster card. The problem is that it has to
deal with tape timing. The only way is to use Windows Driver Function to
manipulate audio-in port with exact timing directly to read every bit from
the tape cassette while storing into memory. After it is in the memory, it
tells the emulator that it is time for them to turn by reading bits from the
memory into tape virtual emulator without depending on the exact timing.
I have considered in my end already. I have not written to create
Windows driver for audio-in and audio-out yet. I hate to write .WAV.
