	Normally a good idea. This way he can't accidentally lose it.

	This is where it gets kind of rough. Apple has made several types of
machines. You should specify if your friend is running an Apple IIGS (the
last Apple// model out there - and the topic for this group) or a Mac (in
which case follow the same procedure you used to get here except you
should look for "mac" not "apple").

	Same as you'd do under Windows. After all M$ DID rip off Apple, which had
earlier ripped off Xerox.

	Check the finder. If he's running a Mac with OS X (doesn't sound like it)
there should be a section along one side which has a bunch of "quick
start" programs.
