You should be able to. There was a problem with GS-ShrinkIt where it 
could only read or write 5.25" disk archives if they were in ProDOS 
format. Non-ProDOS disk archives were fine on 3.5" disks. Apparently it 
was a bug in the OS, but I don't know if it was ever fixed. The 
workaround was to use the 8-bit version of ShrinkIt for non-ProDOS 5.25" 
disk archives.

This still isn't your problem though since you're dealing with a ProDOS 
disk archive. The first thing I'd try would be to boot from a floppy 
disk. The System 6 'System Disk' has the driver for the 5.25" disk drive 
on it. If that works you know it's software related.

Do you have the Apple SuperDrive controller card installed? If you're 
running a 1.4MB drive from the built-in disk drive port it can only be 
used as an 800KB drive.
