No, got too much to do right now.
Find new work, new home, shed a load of possessions to ease moving, etc.
Plus I got my own FPGA project to do.

My mate wrote a Z80 to 6502 translation and he said the resulting code ran
several times faster on the 6502 although had larger code.
It is possible to slow systems through poor coding.
Maybe the C64 had a slow BASIC interpreter.
If they just chucked the source through a compiler,
then I would not be surprised if it were slow.
The Atom and BBC BASIC interpreters were hand optimised and were pretty
fast, even though CPU clock rate was nothing unusual.

It doesn't seem to have as big a cult as Atari/Apple/Commodore.
Amstrad is usually associated with low-quality products.
