ADT is a great program but it is intended for someone who has a fairly
minimal setup. You setup is pretty good so you shouldn't really need
ADT. You have multiple ways of sending disk images to / from your
IIgs.

1) The LANceGS: This is a pretty good option but the application
=============== software side is lacking. There are currently 2 main
ftp programs available.
   i) GW-FTP by Geoff Weiss is a command line ftp program that is
quick but has some reliability issues.
ii) SAFE from Ewen Wannop is a GUI based ftp program that is better
on the reliability side but requires you to have Spectrum and is
      slooooow.

2) Sneakernet via Superdrive : This is the way I'd go if my file was
============================== less than 1.4M. Just install the
MS-DOS.FST or HFS.FST and ready.

3) Appleshare : If you have the ability to setup an Appleshare server
=============== somewhere then this is even a nicer solution.
Appleshare via Localtalk is built-in to your IIgs.

On nice thing about ADT is it's ability to received disk images and
put them to a real 5.25" disk in one shot. Without using ADT you
would need one of the following programs to write you images back to
real media.

1) DiskMaker : By Eric Shepherd is one of the best programs for making
============== disks from images. It supports 2mg, DiskCopy 4.2,
DiskCopy 6 and raw formats. It does not have support for 5.25"
formats. $5 shareware from Syndicomm and is fully supported by
Shepherd.

2) Dsk2File : by Ron Kneusel is pretty good. It is an 8-bit
============= application that my only complaint would be the user
interface. Like a lot of 8-bit apps, it requires you to know the
exact path and file name of your image. It doesn't allow you to
browse through directories looking for images. On the plus side it
works great and support 2mg and raw disk image formats (.do and .po).
It is freeware available from Ron's web site but is unsupported.

3) Asimov 2.0 : By Ninjaforce I have a hard time recommending. It
=============== covers the same territory as Dis2File but does so
within a 16-bit application. It has a decent interface that allows
you to browse and select files. My reservation is that I've had
stability problems with it. It is also freeware available from
Ninjaforce's web site. I don't know what it's support status is.
