I've had some success with the EtherWave Mac/PB.  It plugs into both the 
serial/Appletalk port, and the ADB port for power (with passthru for your 
keyboard)  It can also use a wall wart type power supply of 5-12volts or 
so.  No special drivers are required it just lets the computer see 
appletalk packets and devices that are on the ethernet side.
