Re: II.Sound and .wav files



One of my favorite features of II.Sound is the fact that it lets the Apple II
load any sound file, no matter the length.  It can be a 100mb .wav file, but
II.Sound will use the memory available on the A2 to play as much as it can. 
All computer programs should be so cooperative.

Yes, it is nice to be able to use the DAC522 player on longer sounds.

When I wrote it and SOUND.EDITOR, I was thinking it would be used
mostly by people without hard disks, and so was never very motivated
to do much for longer sounds.  It may be that the average //e user now
has a hard disk and AUX RAM, and support for longer sounds would be
generally useful. >>
