I am planning on doing a remake of these two Apple II classics (I've
already gotten permission from Dallas Snell several years ago, but trying
to locate him for reconfirmation of his permission recently proved
fruitless) and I need scans of the maps and the walk-thru's for both The Quest
and Ring Quest.
These remakes aren't just going to improve the color and image
resolution of these games, leaving the same script and "path" these games take.
No. Not only will these two games have sound, music, voices, and VASTLY
more realistic scenes but, if you think you know where you're going and
how to reach the end in either of these two games, don't be surprised
when things don't happen the way you think they will. People and
creatures are not going to be tied down to a static "solution script", where
all you have to do is go to point A, get item B, go to point C and give to
person/creature D to solve the puzzle. Things just aren't going to
*quite* as predictable this time around.
The Quest and Ring Quest are going to be all-new and vastly more
enjoyable.
But I need those maps first, before any of this is even possible.
