Re: LaserJet 4L



You would think that any printer with a common parallel interface and
supporting PCL 4 would be compatible..... :)

It's been a while since I worked with a 4L, but I do remember that the
parallel signalling on the 4L was slightly odd.

I remember working with a 4L in a DOS app and using standard parallel
access to write PCL 4 to the printer. Sometimes the printer would
freeze, sometimes the page would partially render.

There was something very weird about the parallel interface on a 4L,
but I cannot remember how we fixed it.
