I'm not a "gamer", but I've never found any ProDOS app
that wouldn't run under version 2.0.3. In my experience,
ProDOS is much more interface compatible than the
various versions of GS/OS. (The interface is much
less complex, so it's an easier problem.)
If you can do without the "little pictures", ProSel 8 is the
very best ProDOS program selector for a hard disk-based
system. And it provides a host of very useful utilities as
part of the bundle.
You can design text-based menu screens that make
program selection very simple with either a mouse or
with the cursor keys, and you can get a lot more
apps on the screen readably than with "icons".
Of course, if you can't do without a wastebasket... ;-)
