Believe it or not basic DSL (if it were available here) would be only $5
more than 100 hrs dial-up. I moght be willing to splurge.

I never thought of that, but I'm sure I have a feeling my experience
would be similar :(

Of course upgrading my IIgs' modem to 56K would probably be as
satisfying as having DSL ;-)
