Contiki runs of the 8 bit Commodore 64 and several other 8 bit machines. A TCP IP stack is possible, if someone would only port it to the Apple ][. I wish I had enough programming knowledge to tackle it.

Last I heard, Chris Morse was working on it, but the question of how to get an interval timer into the II was brought up; I don't know if this was ever resolved.
